You may never have to take your Maltipoo to the groomer if you can learn how to groom and clip your puppy at home.  There are multiple tutorials online and all the equipment is for sale as well.  But many people find it easier to send their puppy to the groomer.  When sending your Maltipoo to the groomer make sure you ask for a few important treatments that usually aren't done at home.
  1. Sanitary trim - this is where they will clip the hair around the belly and anus to help keep these areas clean.
  2. Eye trim and cleaning - just to help your puppy see better and keep the eye crust clean and at bay.
  3. Facial - especially if your Maltipoo has a white beard, talk to your groomer about any special facial treatments that they might have to whiten her beard and give it a good clean.
  4. Dematting - they will charge you for this automatically if your puppy has too many mats or hard to brush through mats.  This is necessary as you don't want her coat to have mats and they can be really difficult to remove at home with your regular brush.  See out grooming page for a good routine to prevent mats.
Ask other nearby dog owners what local groomers they recommend or look online for a groomer with good reviews.  They'll typically keep your dog for three to four hours so make sure it is someone you can trust and that your dog will enjoy.
